Fitur Baru Blogger Statistik

Submit Blog to Blog Directories (III).

This is a continuation from the earlier list of Blog directories to which you can submit your blog for free. For completeness, it is advisable to read the earlier installments Part I and Part II before you read this.

Feel free to share comments on your experiences with these sites but refrain from posting suggestions of new blog directory sites.

Blogflux Blog Flux

Other than a blog directory, the site also provides you with tools and utilities like a pinger form which can submit your feed to several websites.

Blogsearch Blogsearch

Serves its purpose as a blog directory well. You can list your blog in 3 different categories to maximize the exposure to visitors.

Bloghub Bloghub

A fine blog directory which allows visitor ratings.

Findingblogs

This is not a big directory and hence navigation is easy and fast. [Update: Site is inaccessible and link is therefore removed.]

Bloggernity Bloggernity

This has been around for some time and has a large database of blogs.

Bloggernow Bloggernow

Almost the same layout as Bloggernity but this carries a much smaller collection of blogs.

Weblog-index

Simple and easy to navigate blog directory.

5starblogs 5starblogs

I wonder why some blogs have screenshots while many others don't. Anyway, this is a free directory you can consider listing your blog in.

Getblogs Getblogs

I like this directory, mainly due to the sleek design and quick search speed.

Blogtree

Rather interesting to provide a blog genealogy. For some time, the site exceeded its bandwidth and access was cut. The administrator supposedly switched to a new server host and the site seems to be working very fine now. [Update: This site has been down for quite a while and link is therefore removed.]

eBlogzilla

Such an interesting name for a blog directory. Approval for listing didn't take long.

Search4Blogs Search4Blogs

The site is filled with too many advertisements, and the blog directory is a mere secondary aspect of it. Not to my liking, but it is a blog directory nevertheless.

BloggerTalk BloggerTalk

This is a forum for bloggers. They have a blog directory as well, although don't bang on it that your blog will be included.

LSblogs LSblogs

Another directory that is slow in approving your listing.

Be sure to click the Bookmark button below and check back here for a Part IV to this article on free Blog directories to submit your blog to.

For more visibility, you may want to submit your Blog to Feed Directories and ping your Blog every time your contents are updated. Also, submit your Blog to the various Search Engines for maximum exposure.

While you are looking at blog directories, you may also want to consider earning money while you are surfing the net. AGLOCO seems to have a nice scheme for you which you may want to take a look. You may also want to consider having AuctionAds to display an eBay auction widget which is compatible with AdSense and other ad systems. No harm trying it since it might give you an extra income.

Submit Blog to Blog Directories (II)

This is a continued list of Blog directories to which you can submit your blog for free. If you have not read the first part, please check out Submit Blog to Blog Directories (I).

Again, I seek your understanding that while comments on your experiences with these sites are welcomed, kindly refrain from posting suggestions of new blog directory sites. As you will see, where there are voting gateways to the blog directories, visitors can either vote if they like the blog or enter the directory site without voting.

Blogvillage

If you can direct more visitors from your blog to visit this Blog Village site, chances are that your blog will appear in the first couple of pages. There is no search function, and viewers have to browse the pages to pick the blogs they want to view.

[Update: Search feature in place on May 6, 2007. Also, beginning Aug 1, 2007, to continue to be listed in the directory, you must have at least one click every month into their site from the voting link displayed in your Blog. They ask you to vote for yourself if you have to. After that vote is cast, your ranking in their directory is based on the Hits Out, meaning to say the more people visit your Blog through their site, the higher your ranking will be. Take note of this because this is unlike other directories which will rank you highly if you can get more readers to visit their site. We encourage you to check out the new blogs through Blogvillage, but if you have a blog listed there, do yourself a favor by clicking on your own blog too to register a Hit Out.]

Blogelites BlogElites

The ranking is based on the number of unique votes from your blog visitors. The score is reset everyday. This directory is plagued by a number of inactive blogs though, and presently all you need is one visit a day to appear on the first page of the directory.

Myblogdirectory My Blog Directory

This directory has an interesting concept. If you can drive some of your visitors to the site, your blog can be featured as the Blog of the Day.

Blogcatalog

The administrator was rather efficient in approving my blog. It has a huge catalog of blogs. I like the presentation and layout, simple and neat.

Blogarama Blogarama

Quite a popular blog directory but has a slow access speed most of the time.

Blogion Blogion

Another simple and neat blog directory.

Bloggeries Bloggeries

For a change, nice graphics and colors with an icon next to your listing to allow visitors to easily rate your blog. [Update: Submission for listing is no longer free.]

Bloghop

Nice design for a blog directory. It allows you to tagsurf, pixelsurf or ratesurf, and if you'd like, you could rate this blog to see the pretty cool graphics too.

Bloggingfusion Blogging Fusion

This is currently not a big directory, but has the makings of a good one.

Blog-search Blog Search

A simple, no-frills blog directory.

Blogpoint

This looks like a new directory to me. The code given to you is supposed to monitor the hits by your visitors to the site.

Blogs-collection

Text-based, simple, and neat blog directory.

Globeofblogs

This was one of the first directories I submitted my blog to, and with their huge backlog, they seemed to be taking a really long time approving the listing. If you are linking to them using a link button, following their HTML code given on their main page will not work because they have not provided the URL of the button in the src tag. What you can do is to pick the button that you like, right-click on it and save the button onto your drive. Next, upload the button onto a free Image Host. Insert the URL into the code where src="URL of button".

Blogoriffic Blogoriffic

On the contrary, approval at this blog directory took a much shorter time. It is however difficult to find the relevant blogs using their search box.

How to Import Your Blog Into Facebook

By Sahana Mysore

Inside Facebook has recently written about simplifying how you use Facebook with other social media tools in order to make life a little easier. We’ve discussed merging calendaring by syncing Facebook events with Google calendar and simplifying microblogging by syncing Twitter and Facebook status messages.

For all of the bloggers out there, here’s another how-to that will eliminate the need for you to “re-blog” stories on Facebook. If you’re a blogger that isn’t already linking to your stories on Facebook, you might want to think about it. Here are a few simple steps to increase your web presence by leveraging the power of the social graph. Why not?

How to Import Your Blog Into Facebook

1) In the “Applications” menu (in the bottom bar), choose “Notes.”

2) Under “Notes Settings,” click on “Import a blog”

importblog2

3) Type in the URL of your blog and make sure to check the mini-EULA

importblog4

4) At the bottom of the preview, click on “Confirm Import”

importblog51

And that’s it — your blog is now available to all your Facebook friends and family! Whenever you post new articles on your blog, they will automatically appear on your Wall and in your friends’ News Feeds, driving traffic to your site.

Export-Import Blog di Blogger

Tepat tanggal 10 Desember kemaren, Blogger melepas fitur Export - Import dari 'kandang' Blogger in Draft.

  • menggabungkan 2 blog jadi 1
  • memindahkan beberapa post saja ke blog lain
  • back-up konten blog kamu
  • memindahkan blog kamu ke alamat lain

Hmm, menarik juga yah..
tapi seberapa gampang sih export-import ini?? Gampang banget koq sebenernya..

blog-tools
Selanjutnya klik Export blog. Kemudian download export file Blogger Atom yg berisi artikel blog kamu plus komentar2 nya. Ketika download selesai, balik ke halaman Dashboard.
export-blog

createblog-importblog
Selanjutnya, sama seperti di atas, Browse export file Blogger Atom yg tadi baru didownload. Masukkan kode verifikasi dan klik Upload.

background image

With the latest Blogger feature, there is an easier way to insert a background image into your Blogger Header. The steps are discussed in the article “Background Image for Blogger Header (New)”.

However, by using the new feature, the image appears in the center, as a background to the title. For those who want more control over the position of the picture, like having the picture appear on the left or on the right of the title, it may be better to follow the guide at “Add Picture Banner Link to Blogger Header”as it allows you more control over the position of the elements. Alternatively, you can refer to our article in our FAQ showing you how to have a picture beside the Blog Title and Description.

Should you wish to use an image as a background to your Header (just like the one you see above or this colorful one), get an appropriate image and crop it to size, about 660x150 pixels. A photo editing software like Google's Photo Editing Software Picasa or Photoshop would do the trick.

After that, upload the image to a free server. You can read about using free hosts like Google Page Creator and Google Groups. We also have a rather comprehensive list of free Image Hosts and File Hosting Services in our article on Manage Blogger Image Storage Space. Check out those sites and choose one that is fast, reliable and enables hotlinking to the uploaded files. Take note of the picture URL.

Next, go back to “Edit HTML” under Template tab. Scroll to where these lines appear:-

#header-wrapper {
width:660px;
margin:0 auto 10px;
border:1px solid $bordercolor;

Add immediately after that the following line:-

background-image: url(URL address of your image);

Remember to insert the URL address of your image in the brackets. Save the template and refresh your Blog site. The image now appears as the background of your Header. Change the colors of the text if you need to.

Background Image for Blogger Header

This guide will give you an image background. Sometimes, you may have more than one image, all of which are suitable for your Blog. You can read Random Header and Background Images on how you can have the Header images rotated and a random image shown upon every page load.

If you want to replace the entire Header with an image or banner, to link the image or banner to the URL of your Home page, and to delete the Title altogether, please refer to the article “Background Image for Blogger Header (New)” or the other article on how to “Add Picture Banner Link to Blogger Header.” Should you want to have a background picture as a backdrop to your main post, sidebar or entire blog, you may refer to the article on "Background Image for Blogger Template."
